Who We Are

The Falcon Heights–Lauderdale Lions Club is a community-based service organization serving the Falcon Heights and Lauderdale Minnesota area. The club was chartered in May 1986 under The International Association of Lions Clubs.

We hold meetings at Falcon Heights Community Park on the second and fourth Mondays at 6:30 p.m. We welcome anyone with the desire to serve the community to visit us or contact Secretary Ken Crea.

We Serve

The Falcon Heights–Lauderdale
Lions Club serves the local community:

  • We fund school and park projects
  • We provide scholarships
  • We support food shelves
  • We help fund senior programs
  • We serve Loaves and Fishes meals
  • We buy dictionaries and thesauruses for local students
  • We support our local library

The Falcon Heights–Lauderdale
Lions Club serves the wider community:

  • We support summer camps for children with health or developmental problems
  • We contribute to youth outreach and exchange programs
  • We support programs for prevention of blindness
  • We support research for sight, hearing, and diabetes
  • We help provide service dogs to those with sight or hearing disabilities
  • We support disaster victims

Local Goals

The Falcon Heights–Lauderdale Lions Club has three primary goals:

  1. To serve the needs of our local communities and support the service projects of the district and international organizations
  2. To establish a positive, helpful and responsible dialog with the community as we plan fund-raising activities and return profits to the community
  3. To have fun and meet new friends

Fundraisers

The Falcon Heights–Lauderdale Lions Club has two annual fundraisers:

  • We run a parking lot for about 50 St. Paul Saints games each year. We organize, supervise, and pay 24 different community groups who help with parking. These groups include school groups, church groups, Scouts, and other Lions Clubs
  • We sell 500 Christmas trees each year from a lot set up in Falcon Heights Community Park. Sales start the day after Thanksgiving and finish a week before Christmas. We enjoy fellowship and the holiday spirit while we raise money for the community
