The Enosburg Falls Lions lives by the motto "WE SERVE," not only by funding various requests for money, but also by the labor donated by its members on community projects.
The Vermont Dairy Festival is the premier source of income for the club. The proceeds from the Festival are disbursed into the community in many forms. For example, between May 2009 and May 2010, the club had donated approximately $18,040.00 in various request. Some of the beneficiaries of these monies were area schools, scholarships for local students, and the purchase of eyeglasses and hearing aids for persons in need.
The Club also financially supports community projects, such as helping purchase food for the local Red Cross blood drawings, Project Graduation, paying the Town Library phone bill, and summer baseball teams, just to name a few.
This is why a successful Vermont Dairy Festival not only does the community of Enosburg Falls proud, but also enables the Club to continue its tradition of supporting individuals, organizations, groups and community projects.
Lions Clubs International is the world's largest service club organization with more than 1.4 million members in approximately 46,000 clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas around the world.
