Elk Rapids Lions are accepting Educational Grant Applications from graduating high school seniors now through Friday, May 10, 2024.

The Elk Rapids Lions Club annually provides an award to one or more high school graduating senior.
Criteria for selection includes:
- Financial Need
- Active participation in community volunteer projects – following the example of the Lions Motto “We Serve”
- Recommendation by a faculty member that student possesses the desire and intent to succeed in pursuit of educational goals
- Educational goals may be met in any technical and/or academic setting of the student’s choice.

Objectives of Lionism:
To Create and foster a spirit of understanding among peoples of the world.
To Promote the principles of good government and good citizenship
To Take an active interest in the civic, cultural, social and moral welfare of the community
To Unite the clubs in the bonds of friendship, good fellowship, and mutual understanding
To Provide a forum for the open discussion of all matters of public interest provided, however, that partisan politics and sectarian religion shall not be debated by club member.
To Encourage service-minded people to serve their community without financial reward, and to encourage efficiency and promote high ethical standards in commerce, industry, professions, public works and private endeavors.

Elk Rapids Lions meet at 6:30 PM on the 4th Thursday of each month
at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church
