The Lions Club of Elizabeth was formed 25/2/1963 and is celebrating 60 years of servicing the community in 2023.
 
When the Elizabeth Council merged & changed to the City of Playford, the Lions Club changed it's name to the Lions Club of Elizabeth Playford.
 
Elizabeth is a suburb in the north of city of Adelaide, South Australia. It was established in 1955 as a master planned satellite town by the South Australian Housing Trust.
The City of Elizabeth was formed on 16/11/1955, being named after Queen Elizabeth 11, who visited the city in 1963.
 
Elizabeth is home to large areas of open space, with the most prominent being Fremont Park.
 
Elizabeth is the home city of the Central Districts Bulldogs, an Australian Rules Football team in the South Australian National Football League, (SANFL). It is currently the strongest team in South Australian football, having won seven of the last nine SANFL Premierships.
 
Elizabeth is now part of the City of Playford, the City of Elizabeth having merged with the City of Munno Para in 1997.
