Meetings

The Community Band Concerts under the direction of Mark Appiotti will be held  on 4 consecutive Thursdays in July.  Practices for this band are announced by Mr. Appiotti just prior to July.  Half time performances will be performed by either the Doylestown Heat ( See www.doylestownheat.org for their schedule of appearances,  Standard Time)  or The Music 4 Nothin band .  See their web site  www.music4nothin.com  for their schedule of performances.  There may be other band performances.

The Doylestown Lions Club recently presented the Doylestown Township Park System with a $10,000 check for a POD in the Sensory Trail development for the sight impaired children at Central Park..

-The Lions club collects  aluminum tab tops and used glasses for the Bucks County Association for the Blind in Newtown, PA.

-The Spring and Fall Lion's Bingos are very successful and we look forward to these events in March and October.  Proceeds from these events are distributed amongst local charities.  Thank you to all who attend, sponsor,  and participate in the events.  See calendar and fund raiser page for more information.

- Each year the Lions will participate in the Spina Bifida Walk at  Central Park on Wells Road.  This event is very successful.    Lions  are parking monitors and help with other functions.    See www.walknrollsbadv.kintera.org for additional information.

- This year's Pot of Gold fundraiser was very sucessful.  Following is the list of the final big winners: Kathy Bray $500, Marguerite Pawlowski $300, Robin Fetteroff-Durakley $100 and and the following were $50 winners: Karol Richardson, Rick Moyer, Kim Bell, Ed Lisowski, Jim Bausman, Michael Tilley, Samantha Boger, Sue Plummer, Liana Boultbee and Sharon Brasch.    Drawings are held once a month from November through June.  See Fund Raiser Page  for more details.

 -Lion Gisoldi and his committee delivered Food Gift Certificates to a Womens Place over the Christmas holidays.

 -The Board had approved sponsoring 2 campers to Beacon Lodge this summer.

-Over 3000 pairs of glasses had been collected and sent to Lens Crafters and Bucks County Assoc for the blind for recycling.  Thank you to Lions John McIntyre, Jim Plummer, and Rick Colello for a job well done.
