Lions in Nepal

In Nepal, Lions Clubs International was introduced in the year 1971. Lions Clubs International Multiple District 325, Nepal has four Districts 325-A1, A2, B1 and B2. Till the date, we have more than 12000 members in all the four districts. The membership is increasing yearly.

Under LCIF SightFirst program, we performed more than 25000 cataract surgeries per year in all the districts. In addition, Lions Clubs International has been helping the society for establishing schools, eye hospitals, and societal service activities such as Peace poster contest, blood donation, diabetes/cancer awareness and many more. Lions Clubs International has been serving needy people during the floods and landslides since last many decades. Lions Clubs International provides food, shelter and medicines to the flood and landslide effect areas.

Regarding SightFirst activities, local lions clubs organize free eye camps and cataract surgery camps in their locality with the help of other social organizations, hospitals. Lions Clubs International has donated US$ 2.4 million to the Nepal Government for Measles and Rubella Campaign and we have completed the campaign successfully.
