Held annually each year, the DeWitt Lions Club sponsor a 4 Man Scramble at the Oak Hills Country Club in June to benefit the club's sight preservation projects and other Civic activities that the club participates in throughout the years. In 2008 the club, established in 1939, sponsored a charter of the DeWitt High School Leo Club to promote volunteerism among the communities youth. The funds from this tournament and that of the annual pancake supper are used by the DeWitt Lions Club and the DHS Leo to purchase eyeglass for the area needy.
Long time members Lion Gerald Whitcomb, Lion Charlie Hamilton and Lion Johnnie Schallhorn enjoyed a beautiful afternoon on the course. Lion Hamilton (86 years old) proudly took the commemorative swing to start the 2009 tournament.
Leos Jeana Fuhrman and Madison Meins sold Greenies to the participants to benefit the DHS Leo Club.
