Diabetes is one of the fastest-growing diseases in the world today, currently affecting 422 million people of all races, income levels, and ages, even children. As Lions, we’re dedicated to fighting the diabetes epidemic to improve lives, strengthen families, and revitalize communities

Environment Service
We beleive in "reduce, resuse, recycle and replant" principle for greener environment. We have participated in Shelton Clean up Project to pickup litter around parks and trails on Shelton Ave in collaboration with city of Shelton and group of volunteers.

- Hearing Aid Recyle.
- Cleaning up parks and open spaces.

Eye Glass Recycling
We have successfully collected 300+ pair of eyeglasses exceeding our goal of 200 pairs. We are collecting Eye Glass at our office. Please drop your Eye Glass and let DCLC to help others in need.

We are conducting Annual food drive for Spooner House. We are also donating urgent food and other supplies based on residents need.

Vision Screening
We have successfully conducted vision screening for 30 kids exceeding our goals of 25 for 2018. We are planning for Adult screening; exploring suitable site; and contacting agencies.

Low Vision Support
Low Vision is vision loss that can no longer be corrected by a medical procedure or treatment. DCLC in partnership with Lion Low Vision Centers of Fairfield and New Haven Counties will support the initiative.
