The Deerwood Lakes Lions Club, which was organized October 1, 1999, is an affiliate of Lions Clubs International. Through our association with LCI, we are dedicated to serving our local, national and international communities.
For more than 70 years, LCI has been recognized throughout the world for their service to the blind and visually impaired, as well as drug abuse, diabetes awareness, finding help and training for the deaf, disabled, underprivileged, and the elderly.
Funds are raised to support Community projects through a variety of events such as our Spring Tea, Annual Lunch & Bake Sale, Dad's Belgian Waffle Breakfast, Craft & Bake Sale and many more.
Deerwood Lakes Lions Club members don't just work, we also have joint projects and socials with other Lions Clubs. We attend a mid-winter convention where we learn, play, and enjoy friendship and fellowship with others who share our values and commitment to our Communities. Deerwood Lakes Lions Club can do all of the Community-minded projects we want by belonging to the Lions Clubs International.
Lions Clubs International is the world's largest service club organization with more than 1.4 million members in approximately 46,000 clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas around the world.
