GREAT CREDITON FIRE WALK
CREDITON TOWN SQUARE
Saturday October 5th at 7pm
Crediton Lions Club are challenging you to bring your mind and body together with a Walk on Fire on October 5th. Prepare to be amazed as you witness the incredible power of the human mind and the ability to overcome obstacles. Get ready to challenge your limits and conquer your fears as you walk across a bed of hot coals.
This thrilling experience is not far off and Crediton Lions Club thank you is advance for your support in helping fund our core challenges below.
Crediton Lions support all these areas with funding and or direct action eg Diabetes screening, Message in a Bottle for vulnerable people and ROAR an initiative aimed at developing young peoples ideas. Of course we also support Crediton Talking News and many other areas of need from the pool above.
We need you to help us do more to serve our community.
Walkers, aged over 14 are welcome and must participate in the training given beforehand by Scott Bell, the world record fire walker and owner of UKFirewalk.
The Firewalk will take place in Crediton Town Square arrival at 5,30 with the training seminar beginning at 6pm and the walk from 7pm.
Registration beforehand is necessary.

The Ship Hotel is providing facilities for the Training seminar, Ashtons Tea rooms will be open serving delicious hot drinks and snacks and the Three Little Pigs will be serving hot food as well. We are hoping that other entertainment will be available, so get your friends and relations come and support this major Lions Fundraiser.
Entry is by advance registration only costing £25 (non refundable) with the help of Ticketsource and Crediton Arts centre. There is a small handling charge through this link (To Register Click Here) Within a few days you should receive your volunteer pack of information. If you have any difficulty you may book directly with Crediton Lions Club or phone 01363 773437 . In all e mail communication plesae use FIREWALK in the heading .

Entries are limited so please make an early decision and start gaining your sponsorship as soon as you can, ideally a minimum of £125.
Certificates will be provided on completion of the Walk.

HOW DO I SIGN UP?
Step 1: Sign up by this link To Register Click Here cost £25 which is non-refundable. Should you be unable to do this then e-mail to the Lions Club
Step2: Create a giving page on Crediton Lions Just Giving page or use the sponsorship form obtained from Crediton Lions on registration
Participants must be aged 14+ Those uner 16 should be accompanied by a responsible adult
Entries are not available on the night.
Spaces are limited to approx. 60 participants, so hurry and register now.
HOW MUCH DO I NEED TO RAISE?
This walk is not for the faint hearted, so there is a minimum sponsorship target of £125.
Of course, if want to set your target higher and think you can smash it, please do. There will be a prize for the highest individual sponsorship achieved.
I addition a Unique event tee shirt, (free to walkers raising over £150), is available to all walkers at £10 each.
Please order on your registration form with your size.
CAN I BRING GUESTS?
Yes of course, to support you in your efforts and to add atmosphere on the night.
IS IT SAFE?
Although the walk is exhilarating and exciting, the walk is safe. it is run by UKFirewalk who have years of experience and have run hundreds of safe walks up and down the country.
Each walker is trained on the night to ensure you have the best experience
Photos will be taken by Crediton Lions and UKFirewalk for use on social media and future advertising. If you do not wish to be pictured, please let us know at or before the event.
WHERE IS CREDITON TOWN SQUARE?
It is adjacent to the main A377 by turning off at the Ship Hotel. For visitors the post code is EX17 2BP. Street parking is available, St Saviors Way and Market Street Car parks are also convenient.

Terms & Conditions
By registering for a Crediton Lions event you are agreeing to the following:
• All participants should satisfy themselves that they are fit to take part in the event before entering. If you have any doubts please speak to your GP. Participants under the age of 16 must have the approval of a parent or guardian and be accompanied by a resposible adult during the event.
• All registrations fees are non-refundable unless in extraordinary circumstances.
• The event has a fundraising target, participants agree to do their best to reach this target in the given time frame.
• Participants must follow the instructions of the organisers or their appointed agents (including volunteers) at all times.
• Participants must not be under the influence of alcohol or any other harmful substances.
• Photographs may be taken at all events to be used in future publicity, both printed and digital including social media. If you do not want to be included in these photos please speak to a member of Crediton Lions Club or a volunteer.
• Crediton Lions Club will take reasonable care to ensure that the event is conducted in a safe manner. Liability cannot be accepted for any damage, injury or loss arising from the negligence of participants (whether through failure to observe the rules of the event or otherwise).
• Crediton Lions Club reserves the right to cancel the event at short notice due to risks from adverse weather conditions or any other situation whereby the event organisers deem the event to be unsafe.
• Most communications will be made via email. The provision of personal e mails will only be used in connection with this event in accordance with our data protection policy.
