Stan Thomas Community Service Award
Lion Stan Thomas, a life long resident of Cranbury, shared his time and energy, without compensation, and in a most altruistic fashion, with the volunteer organizations in Cranbury, in particular, Boy Scout Troop 52, his church, and the Cranbury Lions Club, where he was a Past President, Board Member, Regional Chairperson, Lion of the Year, and a Melvin Jones Fellow. The "Stan Thomas Community Service Award" is sponsored by the Cranbury Lions Club, and is awarded each year to one Cranbury Youth who exhibits the spirit of Community Service that Lion Stan Thomas exhibited throughout his lifetime.

Todd M. Beamer Memorial Scholarship
Todd M. Beamer, a resident of Cranbury, gave his life on 9-11-01 leading other passengers in overpowering the hijackers of United Airlines Flight 93. It is thought that Mr. Beamer's actions caused the Boeing 757 to crash in Pennsylvania, foiling the hijacker's plan of flying the aircraft into an unknown Washington, DC target. This ultimate, unselfish act no doubt saved hundreds, possibly thousands of lives, at the cost of his own. A scholarship award, administered by the Cranbury Lions, has been established in his name. This scholarship is given annually to a recommended Cranbury high school senior who has best demonstrated Citizenship in the community.
Lions 'We Serve' Scholarship
The Cranbury Lions administers a scholarship in the name of the Lions motto, "We Serve." It is awarded annually to a high school senior who is in financial need, has a high scholastic standing, exhibits qualities of leadership and character, is accomplished in extra-curricular activities and has a high promise of service and usefulness.
