LIONS SERVE

WHAT DO LIONS DO?

Lions meet the needs of our local communities and the world. The members of our volunteer organization are different in many ways, but we all share a core belief – we serve our community.

WHY ARE YOU A LION?

Though Lions are well known for successful initiatives in vision health, Lions service is as diverse as our members. Lions volunteer for many different kinds of projects - caring for the environment, feeding the hungry and aiding seniors and the disabled.

Lions are service-minded men and women dedicated to making their communities better places to live. The Corpus Christi Downtown Lions Club (CCDTLC) is proud to serve the Coastal Bend area through a variety of impactful programs.

In partnership with Lions Clubs International, we collect and recycle used eyeglasses for distribution in developing countries around the world. We also support the Texas Lions Camp, which serves children with special medical needs, including physical disabilities, Down syndrome, cancer, and Type 1 diabetes.

As a Lion, you will:

  • Make a meaningful impact in the Coastal Bend community
  • Change lives both locally and globally
  • Develop leadership skills and help guide a respected nonprofit organization
  • Connect and network with community and business leaders
  • Experience the joy of giving back—while having fun doing it

We invite you to attend a few meetings, get to know our members, and learn more about the work we do in the Coastal Bend Area.

Every 1st Thursday of each month we host our General Meeting at Jason's Deli on Airline from 6:30pm to 7:30pm. You can expect to listen to speakers, participate in a service project, or hear a brief update on current Lions Club activities and service projects.

You are welcome to arrive early at 6:00pm to order a meal and enjoy meeting our members before the meeting.

If our mission resonates with you, we’d be happy to guide you through the application process.
