The future of peace
This is the 30th anniversary of our Peace Poster Contest! To celebrate, we redesigned the Peace Poster Kit. Invite young artists in your community to submit poster designs that express our themes (the future of peace). Games are a great way to connect with your community and encourage young people to express their vision for peace.
11–13 歲的兒童均可報名參加。您只要從分會用品供應購買和平海報資料袋,就能啟發兒童的創造力。立即購買您的和平海報資料袋!
The early registration deadline is January 13, 2017
Become part of the history, and immediately apply 2017, June 30 to July 4, held in Chicago, the 100th International Convention. January 13 is the deadline for preferential registration fees ($ 130). LCI has agreed to a very good hotel rate in the Lop District of Chicago. These hotel rates are only available to Lions convention participants and will soon be sold out.
Lions are proud to have thousands of Lions from all over the world. Some special surprises will appear in the store - at any time in LCICon.org to grasp the latest news! We look forward to meeting you in Chicago.
In your community against hunger
Global service week against hunger is imminent! Even if your club has not planned for the week of January 9-15, you can still help those who worry about food and clothing. Volunteer at a local relief food distribution office, contribute to projects related to hunger relief or begin planning major relief programs in the later part of the year. Start by discovering needs in your community and consider working with others to make a greater impact. Use this scenario to develop a list (PDF) to start a conversation in your club!
The ten youth camps and the YCE Chairperson Awards have been extended
Dear Lion :
In our lives to see a lot of amazing progress. We walk slowly on the moon, we get
lost when there is phone navigation, and we have robots to perform intricate
operations. However, hundreds of children still die every day from vaccine-
preventable diseases。
Measles is a highly contagious disease. The survivors often have serious
complications, such as brain damage, deafness and blindness. Many children die
from preventable diseases. A simple measles vaccine of around $ 1 provides
immunity. That's why Lions have pledged $ 30 million to the vaccine alliance
Gavi in 2017. The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and the United Kingdom's
Department for International Development (DFID) will raise as much as $ 60
million to fight measles.
Next year we will need to raise about $ 10 million to fulfill our commitment to
the world's children.
I ask every Lion to re-commit itself to fighting this deadly disease. We work
together to vaccinate millions of children. But before the work is done, we can
not rest. Please donate to the LCIF Measles Fund today, hoping that no more
families will be heartbroken for measles.
Sincerely wishes

Lions Quest Proven to Prevent Drugs
Lions Quest recently launched a pilot campaign in Serbia, Macedonia
(FYROM) and Montenegro. The results of the pilot show that Lions Quest is
effective in preventing marijuana, alcoholism and smoking among adolescents.
The results presented by the European Association for the Prevention of
Proliferation contribute to the LCIF and Lions Quest as leading organizations for
social emotive learning.
Blindness disappeared in Guatemala
The Minister of Health of Guatemala recently announced that the World Health
Organization officially confirmed onchocerciasis in Guatemala. Guatemala is the
fourth Latin American country after Colombia (2013), Ecuador (2014) and Mexico
(2015). For this great achievement, LCIF congratulates the people and the
Government of Guatemala, the Carter Center's Onchocerciasis Elimination
Program (OEPA) and many faithful Lions
