8/23/24 Served breakfast to 186 homeless guests at the Third Avenue Charitable Organization (TACO). Volunteers were Jannette(leader), Carolyn, Robert, Noe, Patrick (new member).
8/11/24, the CVVLC volunteered with the Lions Optometric Vision Clinic, offering free eye examination, reading glasses, sunglasses, and a selection of frames. Those in need were prescribed corrective lenses which they can pick up at a later date.
7/16/24 We volunteered at San Diego Rescue Mission Warehouse. We put together kits of food and water for homeless outreach teams to distribute to the homeless all over San Diego County. The volunteers were Noe, Nena, Norma, Tess, Robert, Becky, Jannette
6/13/24 "Rancho Penasquitos CA Team Days for Girls". This organization makes hygiene kits for girls and women in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, which will help them manage their periods and eliminate the stigma and limitations associate
5/13/24 This month we helped the librarian at Belle Middle School Library alphabetize and reshelve books that have become too much to keep up with. The CVVLC volunteers were Jannette (leader), Carolyn, Noe, Norma, Connie and Robert.
