Additional Historical Note

In 1993 the club had 68 members, and continues to meet on the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month at the Rainbow Cafe.

In May of 1955 the Chisago Lakes Lions, with A. Harold Peterson as president, voted to purchase four acres of land on Highway 8 near Russell Beach at a cost of $4,000 and gave it to the newly created hospital district for the purpose of constructing a new hospital.
