Chippewa Lake - Mecosta Lions Club supports, among other things, the following charitable organizations:

1. Provided sponsorship for local students to participate in the Lions of Michigan All State Band
2. Sponsored local students to participate in Project Close-Up
3. Provided the volunteers and materials to build wheel chair ramps in the area.
4. Sponsored the Chippewa Lake Little League Team
5. Provide eye exams, glasses, and other vision services for qualifying individuals in the Chippewa Lake, Rodney, Mecosta, and Canadian Lakes areas.
6. Donated to the Chippewa Lake Fireworks exhibit
7. Held “Meet the Candidates” forums for the benefit of the community
8. Honored local citizens at the Citizen of the Year Awards
9. Donate to the Chippewa Lake Food Pantry
10. Provided scholarships for kids to attend Juvenile Diabetes Camp
11. Donate leftover food wagon items to various non-profit groups
12. Sponsor community members to receive hearing tests and hearing aids from LMSF

29. Community members may borrow crutches, wheel chairs, walkers, or portable bedside potty chairs by contacting any Lion. (All of our medical equipment was in the Lions room at the Chippewa Lake Community Building which unfortunately burned. We lost all equipment so if you know anyone who has walkers, wheel chairs, bedside potties, shower seats, etc. please encourage them to donate to the Lions Club.)
In Chippewa Lake, a poker run is held on the lake each year on the Saturday of 4th of July weekend to raise the funds necessary for these projects and others. In addition, the Chippewa Lake- Mecosta Lions man a food wagon at Remus Heritage Days and the Wheatland Music Festival. Serving the area and Lionism is a community and family affair! WE SERVE
