COMMUNITY PROJECTS:

In October 2023 we will once again be at the Hampton Roads ZERO Prostate Cancer Run walk in Va Beach.  To join with us or contribute link: https://www.zerocancer.run/hamptonroad 

Currently our volunteer activities include:

We visit Chesapeake Public and Private Shools and using our SPOT machine test the vision of children K-3rd grade for 7 eye afflictions which may otherwise go undiagnosed.  Early diagnosis is key.

We are collecting food donations at each of our 2 monthly meetings for the Food Shelter located at Saint Matthews Church in Indian River.

We volunteer Quarterly for "Highway Pickup" in The Providence Rd area of Chesapeake.

Some of the local charities we contribute to are:

The Food Bank of Southeastern VA

The Lions Diabetes Camp

Indian River High School Scholarship Program

Fishing outings for wounded veterans 

and more.....

We collect used eyeglasses throughout the city and regularly visit the Lions Eyeglass Recycling Center to re-purpose donated eyeglasses 2040 Broadmoor Ave Chesapeake, VA
