Lions Club of Chavakkad was establisheded in the year of 1983 and Chartered on 20-06-1983. On those days, in general, Lions Clubs were not common, in particular very rare in coastal area of Thrissur Dist. 

       We could sponcer a new Club at Guruvayoor in the year 1992 and Charted on 28-10-1992. In continuation we were instrumental to promote Lionism at Perumbilavu, Ponnani, Pazhuvil Green field and Ayyanthole.

       Our Club have a large service history such as youth empowerment, support to educationally backword communities of the coastal area, cateract surgery for those in needs, medical aid, supply of costumes and rehabilitation during floods, food supplies and medical support during the pandemic, etc. Now a majority of our members are NRIs who extend  all the possible assistance when there is a need.
