SOME OF OUR HIGHLIGHTS

• Built four dugouts for Desboro's two ball diamonds
• Painted bleachers and other buildings around the ball diamonds
• Helped upgrade the fencing around the ball diamonds
• Helped with the reconstruction of the kitchen in the arena
• Donated an automatic commercial dishwasher in the arena kitchen
• Helped with the purchase and installation of safety netting around the arena's ice surface
• Upgraded and reshingled the refreshment booth at the ball diamonds
• Annual Raking Bee (clean up the Desboro Community Centre grounds)
• Annual Dog Walk in the spring (Purina Walk for Dog Guides)
• Annual Pork Barbeque or Meat & Greet (May, Victoria Day weekend)
• Annual Curl-Euchre (late spring)
• Sponsor the free, Annual Christmas Family Fun Skate, in the arena (December)
• Donated (setup and take down) 21 Christmas light displays for the streets of Desboro
• Donated and planted 4 trees at the Desboro arena
• Donated class set of 30 snowshoes to Sullivan Community School
• Sponsoring the D.A.R.E. program (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) at Sullivan Community School
• Ongoing collection of used eyeglasses (currently over 6,000), lenses, frames, sunglasses and hearing aids
• Conducted Vision and Hearing tests for Jr Kindergarten students in Sullivan, Derby and Chesley Schools through the "Eye See, Eye Learn" program
• Donated labour and a large garbage bin as part of our "Beautification Project" to help residents, in Desboro, cleanup yard wastes on Earth Day, April 22/17
• Provided new "Welcome to Desboro - Dodge City" signs for the village (see photo gallery)
