Thank you for visiting the Carrollton Lions Club website!

The Carrollton Lion Club has been serving the Carrollton Georgia community since 1933.  Our motto is “We Serve” and in cooperation with Lions International our mission is to provide vision for all.  Our goal is to eradicate blindness throughout the world.

Lions conduct vision screenings, equip hospitals and clinics, distribute medication for eye conditions, and raise awareness of eye disease.  We also provide leader dogs at no cost for the severely vision impaired.

In addition to our focus on sight conversation, we actively support community projects including food programs, school scholarships, and youth recreation activities.   For instance, in 2007, the Carrollton Lions Club built the Safari Park on highway 27 next to the WPA Center.  See the “Club Projects” tab on the left for more information.

Worldwide, Lions have awarded more than $700 million in grants for humanitarian projects.  These awards are provided through the Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF), what was ranked the number one non-governmental charitable organization by the Financial Times in 2007.

The Club meets weekly to hear programs about community development and opportunities for us to serve.  The photo below is from a recent program about the "Ferst Readers of Carroll County" presented by Karen Wild.

We encourage you to peruse our website to learn more about the Carrollton Lions Club and Lionism.  You are welcome to join us at noon on any Thursday at the Carrollton Courtyard Marriot.

Lions Clubs International is the world's largest service club organization with more than 1.4 million members in approximately 46,000 clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas around the world.
