BRIEF HISTORY OF THE CLUB

Founded:  July 15, 1921, with 52 charter members.

Membership: Currently approximately 70 members – men and women dedicated to the Club motto: “We serve.”

CIVIC PROJECTS

Established the first Mosquito Abatement District in the State (1925).

Funded and installed street signs in the city (1930 until the late 50's).

Supports protecting and improving vision (1930s and continuing):

Collected over 70,000 pair of used eye glasses for refurbishment and reuse

Provides new eye glasses for needy children.

Raise money for the Hadley School and for leader dogs for the blind.
