CLUB HISTORY

We were chartered in May of 2009, carrying on the traditions of the original Lions Club. It has always concentrated on programs for young people, for the disabled, for the elderly and for those less fortunate.

Our International focus is to eradicate preventable blindness through out the world, thereby, we are known as the Knights of the Blind after a challenge put out by Helen Keller in 1925

We are a Member of the International Association of Lions Clubs inaugurated in Chicago Ill., in 1917.

We represent 1.3 million members, in 44,920 clubs in 201 countries and geographical regions of the world.

We are the youngest and largest service organization worldwide and collectively the Humanitarian impact worldwide is too great to comprehend.
