Our Motto: "WE SERVE"!!
Our Vision Statement: "To Be The Global Leader In Community & Humanitarian Service
We have proudly served the CABOT community for over 75 years! We were "chartered" on June 30th, 1950.
Our Cabot Lions Club is a group of serve-minded men & women, who are very interested in improving our community. We are young people, families, Baby-Boomers to Gen Z!!
Our members are very different in many ways, but we share a core belief - our community is what we make it. That's because we help where help is needed. In short, We Serve. Currently we have over 40 members, but we are always looking for a few more NEW FACES!!
Here are just some of the things our club does:
- "Field of Honor" U.S. Flag Display - opportunity for folks to sponsor a flag in-honor or in-remembrance of a military service member or a first responder. Display is set up during Veteran's Day
- Donations of new Vision-Screeners to multiple Elementary Schools
- Sponsoring at least Two Cabot High School student each year to attend The "National Leadership Forum" at Harding University
- Awarding the annual "Rick Meadows Memorial Scholarship" to a Graduating Senior from Cabot High School
- Purchase of numerous eye-exams & new eyeglasses for local youth & adults, who needed assistance
- Charter & support numerous Scouting Troops & Cub Scout Packs in our community
- Sponsorship of in-need adults to "Mid-South Sight & Hearing Services" for much needed glaucoma & cataracts surgeries, as well as hearing aides
- Collecting, sorting & packing approximately 2500 pair of used eyeglasses & shipped to SVOSH Recycling Center, each year
