Cable & Area Lions Club 

WE have several projects each year

  • At least three scholarships are awarded to outstanding Drummond High School Seniors to assist them with their post high school educational plans
  • Our Lions Foundation awards scholarships to former graduates (of any age) of Drummond High School
  • Weekly our members drive to the homes of elderly and shut in residents delivering food and a friendly face to assist them as part of Bayfield County's Meals On Wheels Program
  • The Fourth of July picnic includes and old fashioned community parade and picnic.  Hot dogs, hamburgers, corn on the cob, homemade pie, Bingo, games for the kids and lots of community spirit highlight this annual event and fund raiser
  • Operation Rudolph provides clothes, food, and toys to children and families in our community who need some cheer during the holidays
  • Fruit baskets are provided to elderly residents during the holidays
  • Halloween Party for the children at Drummond Elementary School including games and treats 
  • Annually our club president selects a special project for the club to dedicate its efforts

WE contribute to many local community organizations over $15,000 annually

  • Regional Hospice

WE serve our community

  • Party equipment: 2 30X60 foot tent (including set up and take down), 2 20x30 tents and 2 20x20 tents,(able to be setup yourself)  tables and chairs to make any gathering more festive (also a fund raising activity)
  • Chequamegon Mountain Bike Race -provide refreshment at food station during this 40 mile bike race
  • Sponsor BSA Scout Troop 350
  • Provide vision screening at Drummond School and in our community
  • Diabetes awareness and education
  • Deliver Meals on Wheels in Southern Bayfield County
