Buckingham Lions Pack It in for Operation Christmas Child

During the October 24 meeting, fourteen Buckingham Lions packed shoeboxes for the Operation Christmas Child Shoebox Project, a program of Samaritan's Purse that provides shoeboxes packed with gifts for underprivileged children around the world. In all, the club packed 50 boxes, 25 for girls and 25 for boys, all in the 10 to 14 years-old age category. Along with purchasing all of the gifts and the plastic-ware shoeboxes to pack them in, the club provided the $7.50 per box for shipping. All of those present agreed that this project is a great way to share the spirit of Christmas with children around the world.
