Recycling Used Eyeglasses
The Broadway Lions Club is proud to continue our work in recycling used eyeglasses. Just under three years ago, we established and continue to actively operate the Weyers Cave Processing Center of the Virginia Lions Eyeglass Recycling, Inc. Most weeks you will find members of the Broadway Lions working at sorting, washing and sanitizing, and reading prescriptions of your donated used eyeglasses. In our 2.75 years of operation, we have processed tens of thousands of pairs of glasses collected throughout the valley and even from northeastern West Virginia. These glasses are then distributed to clinics and missions groups to assist needy people all over the world.
If you have glasses to donate, look for our drop boxes at the Broadway Community Market or the Timberville Food Lion parking lot. Or give them to a Broadway Lion.
