You can email us at briggdistrictlionsclub@gmail.com or find us on Facebook The Brigg District Lions Club was chartered in 1968 to serve the population of the market town of Brigg together with Barnetby-le-Wold, Broughton, Scawby, Wrawby and other small villages in what is now North Lincolnshire. The dominant business in the area is agriculture and the area does not include any major centre of population. In spite of this the members of the club have worked hard throughout the years to raise many thousands of pounds to help both local people and the global causes espoused by Lions Clubs International. The club has been supported in its efforts by the many small businesses in the area which have given both material and financial assistance. During its lifetime the club has sponsored the start-up of several other Lions Clubs throughout the U.K. thus helping to spread the Lions Clubs philosophy wherever it was needed. |
