Black River Falls Lions Honor Banquet

Honor Banquet History & Objectives
The first Honor Banquet was sponsored by the Black River Falls Lions Club in 1939. It has been an annual event and tradition ever since. One thousand four hundred and nineteen individual students, freshmen through seniors, have been honored during this time.
The entire Black River Falls High School Faculty participates in the selection of these students. Our objective is to pay due honor to those students who, while maintaining a highly satisfactory scholastic average and being involved in extracurricular activities, have best demonstrated the basic attributes of good attendance, punctuality, pleasing personality, dependability, honesty, and cooperation.
To be chosen for the first time, a student must have a grade point average of 3.0 or above. A student may be chosen a second time, during the senior year only, if he or she has a grade point average of 3.6 or better.
The Lions Club is proud of our students, our school and faculty. The Club aids and supports the work of our schools in building character and good citizenship. It also provides public recognition for outstanding high school students. The Black River Falls Lions Club is therefore very pleased to present the Honor Banquet as another of its many services to the community.
