Our History

The Fort Erie BlackCreek Stevensville Lions Club was Chartered by Lions Club International in June, 1999. The club was the first one in District A-2 to be Co-ed.The very first meeting was held in the BlackCreek Community Centre. In 2001 the club held meeting in Fort Erie Conservation Hall. In June of 2010, the club moved back to the BlackCreek Commity Centre.

The club twinned with the Selkirk Lions on February 8th, 2004. In 2012, the club twinned with the Arlington Lions Club in Minnesota.

The BlackCreek-Stevensville Lion Club has been very active in the Cabinet since 2002. Members have held positions as: 1st Vice District Governor, Region Chairs, Zone Chairs, Lions Quest Chair, LEOS chair, Youth Exchange, No Child Without Chair, Cabinet Secretary, and District Communications  team member.

From 1999 to 2009, the club averaged 12-18 Lions members and were very active in the community. With Lion Ted Watts as the membership chair, the club grew to 30 members and the club received the Internation President's award for Club growth.
