Benicia Lions Club 2025 Facts & Figures
Our small club’s mission is to improve health and well-being, support those in need in our area, and encourage peace and international understanding. Our motto is "WE SERVE".
Here’s some details of what our club did for fundraising in 2025:
Our annual Crab Feed - 340 people in attendance - raised over $10,000.
Our vendor booth at the annual Benicia Peddlers Fair - raised over $2,200.
Our vendor booths at Porchfest & Octoberfest - raised a total of over $1,200.
And all the money we raised went right back into the community.
On May 30th, 2026, the Benicia Lions Club will hold our 2nd Vision Project in Vallejo at the Florence Douglas Senior Center. During the 2024 Vision Project, we helped 230 low-income people get 57 vision prescriptions filled by Zenni Optical, 26 exams and eyeglasses by VSP, and 117 vision prescriptions filled by Lions In Sight. We also gave away over 200 pairs of sunglasses, glasses cases, and cleaning cloths, along with 30 vanity kits for people who used the free hot showers at the Project.
Here’s some examples of what our club donated back to various organizations in 2025:
7 scholarships to Benicia & Liberty High graduates - $3,500.
Benicia Unified School District - glasses for students in need - $1,100.
Kyle Hyland Foundation - $1,000.
Ear Of The Lion Program - Lions For The Deaf/Lions Wilderness Camp For The Deaf - $1,000.
Wolfpack U12 Little League Traveling Baseball Team - $750.
Benicia Community Action Council - 26 Turkeys For Thanksgiving Meals - $662.
Benicia Community Resource Center - 8 Amazon Gift Cards For Families In Need - $600.
Benicia Community Action Council - $500.
Fiestas Primavera Cultural Festival - $500.
Benicia High School Speech & Debate Club - $500.
Scouting Of America Christmas Tree Recycling Program - $500.
Game Jerseys 7th-8th Grade Boys Basketball Teams - $400 (in partnership with Kiwanis Club).
Lions Eye Foundation - $270.
Lions Club Speech Contest - $250.
