Meetings

The Bartlesville Tuxedo Lions Club is now Bartlesville Lions Club!  Bartlesville Lions Club was established in 1921 to serve the community of Bartlesville.  We have our own building, which can be rented, and our local park on Tuxedo Blvd. We also support eye health statewide and Meadows of Hope (formerly Lions Boys Ranch).

The Christmas trees came in last Wednesday!! You know they are freshly cut when many of them are SNOWPACKED with Michigan snow inside the bags!

Continuing a tradition of over 30 years, Bartlesville Lions Club members are again busy with preparation for their annual sale of freshly-cut Christmas trees from Michigan. The trees range in height from 5-9 feet and include choice Black Hills spruce, Balsam, Douglas, and Frasier firs, and white pine, ranging in price from $40 - $120. Start a new family tradition! AND NEW THIS YEAR: we have Lions premium quality Christmas straw brooms and live wreaths! Bring back the nostalgic look and premium strength of these sturdy brooms to your hearth and home. A wreath would also be perfect for the one who doesn't have room or can't care for a live tree.

Tree sales will begin the day after Thanksgiving, Friday November 25, from 11 AM to 7 PM. After opening day, the lot will be open Monday-Friday, 4-7:30 PM, Saturdays 11:00 AM-7:00 PM and Sundays 12-5:00 PM until Dec. 11 (or all trees are sold). “Each year we have several customers who say they waited too long last year and we were sold out. We do NOT get another shipment in, so don't wait too long!” remarked Kevin Reid, Lion tree sales chairman.

VISA and MasterCard are accepted and tree bags and nutrients are also available for purchase. The bags are perfect to fit under your tree skirt, and when you are ready to dispose of the tree, just pull the bag over the top of the tree and it catches all debris. Santa's helpers will take a picture of you and your family with your selection!. You may also win your choice of tree ($40 value) or wreath that will be given away through the local radio station KWON 1400's "Chop Shop" contest, so be sure to listen and call in to win! Lions Club President, Dan Boatwright remarked, “Bring the whole family to select a fresh Christmas tree which will make your holiday celebration complete!"

Where there's a need, there's a Lion! Your purchase helps us fight blindness, pay for eye exams and prescription glasses for the needy, and conduct KidSight eye screenings in schools/daycares. Lions give back to our community in many ways so you can be sure that your dollars are going right back into our community to help these causes. We also rent our Community Center at reasonable rates for your next family reunion, birthday party, or reception. The kids can play right next door at our Tuxedo Park. Call 918.331.9710 (message phone) for a rental application.
