Service is the fundamental driving force that underpins the success of our organization. Since 1920, Lions clubs have provided individuals with the opportunity to give back to their communities. This commitment ranges from engaging members in local projects, such as park cleanups, to addressing global issues like restoring sight to the visually impaired. Lions clubs have consistently welcomed those dedicated to forging a brighter future for their communities.
Today, over 1.35 million men and women hailing from 200 countries and diverse geographical regions have broadened their focus to address the growing needs of our global community. While our faces and programs may have evolved to meet new challenges and increased demands, our mission remains steadfast: "We Serve." As the world's largest community service organization, we ensure that 100 percent of all funds received from the public are reinvested into the community through various projects and services. Membership fees cover administrative expenses, and none of the funds donated to us are allocated for the clubs' administrative needs.
