Lions Club of Aurangabad Icons initiated a major tree plantation drive of 11000 Trees at Sarola on Sunday, 7th July. Club President Lion Sunil Chotlani took the environmental charge along with Secretary Lion Sonu Karnani, Treasurer Lion Bhaskar Choudhary, Zone Chairperson Lion Suhas Lanke and Project Chairpersons Lion Bhausaheb Kale, Lion Prakash Motwani, Lion Shailesh Kasliwal and Lion Pradip Lohiya. Chief Guest for the occasion was Past District Governor Lion Mahavir Patni, Guest of Honour was District Forest Officer Mr Bhosale. They appreciated the iconic effort of the Club and appealed to all to try and make Sarola a tourist destination. Lion Nitin Bagdiya proposed the vote of thanks. Over 40 Icon members were present for the event. An iconic day out indeed - mega environmental care, family picnic and sumptuous food !!!

 

Lions Quest Teachers Training work shop was organized from 12-14 july by LC of Aurangabad Icons & LC of Aurangabad Angles

 

 

 

 

Cataract camp organized on 14 July in Harsul where 667 Patients were checked and 47 cataract operations were performed.

 

Cataract camp was organized on 15 July in Naregaon where 732 Patients were checked and 62 cataract operations were performed.

 

 

 

 

Lions Club of Aurangabad Icons took up a mega service project "Icons Educate India" - an initiative of sponsoring 151 poor students for 10 years. The estimated expenditure for the project per year is approx 5 lacs out of which 2.5 lacs has been received through sponsorships of NRIs - a commitment for next 10 years. Lions Club of Aurangabad Icons has started 2 permanent projects for the benefit of school children at AMC Schools at Priyadarshini Nagar and Shivaji Nagar. 5 computers in each lab have been donated.
