CLUB PROJECTS TO RAISE FUNDS
Two times a year, December and May, we sell lotto tickets for $3 based on the Pennsylvania pick three evening number. The number only pays on the straight number, no boxing. Prizes are $35 Mondays through Saturday. Prizes for Sunday eveinings and Christmas night are $100.
White Cane Boxes that are located in various businesses throughout the community are designated for blind related issues.
Thanks to all who attended our November Pancake breadfast.
Where do the Lions spend their Charitable Funds? During the holiday season the Aston Lions donated over $5300 for holiday food donations, a children's Christmas party and disaster relief.
Your support of our club makes these donations possible. Without you we would not be active in our community.
. Thank you to all who support our club activities.
Yes, the Lions do collect used eye glasses and prescription sun glasses.
Where may you drop off your used glasses?
There is an old mail box on Concord Road in the Village Green Shopping Center. The box has lettering for Aston Lions Used Glasses. Place your glasses in this box. There is a box in the Aston Community Center near the entrance to the Library, and outside of the Vision Center of Boscov's at the Granit Run where glasses may be deposited.
The Lions continue to loan walkers, wheel chairs, canes, and other medical equipment. Very few days go by without someone getting a LOAN OF SOME PIECE OF EQUIPMENT. NO CHARGE, IF YOU WISH YOU MAY MAKE A DONATION. IT WILL BE APPRECIATED. LIONS DO NOT RECEIVE ANY REMUNERATION FOR THESE SERVICES. Service will be faster if you are able to pick up the items up from our building at 3 Gamble Lane, Aston. Call Emidio at 215-4560-6590 to arrange for a Lion to meet you there.
