Meetings
 
A motion to hold Charter Night on Feb. 24, 1979, at Krueger's Maple Inn in Old Ashippun, was made by Hilbert Grulke, seconded by Francis Schindler, and carried. Hal Durnford made the motion to hold cocktail hour from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m., as well as a buffet style dinner served with swiss steak and chicken as the meats. Paul Kozleuchar seconded this motion, which also carried. A motion to charge $6 per person was made by Norm Lange, seconded by Mike Graham, and carried.
Tom Martin was elected unanimously as president. Other elected officers were Donald Christopherson, secretary; Dale Williams, treasurer; Ken Bohen, first vice president; Mike Graham, second vice president; Bill Braunschweig, third vice president; Hal Durnford, Lion tamer; Don Berlinger, tail twister; and Norm Lange, Hilbert Grulke, Reid Hays and Paul Kozleuchar, directors.
The Guiding Lion was Ixonia's Hubert Bergman, and James Wenzel of Stevens Point and Ralph Mehlos of Delafield assisted. Don Timmel was the Ixonia Lion's Club president.
