Our 2024-2025 Lion of the Year is Hailey Light. Lion Hailey has been helping our club since she was in third grade! The award was presented by Lion Alan Dudley, last year Lion of the Year recipient.
Lion Dennis Cronin presented gifts to 4 new members and 1 returning member of the club at our annual holiday party.
In December, club members distributed 35 fruit baskets to senior citizens who have lost their spouse and are living alone.
The Arendtsville Lions sponsors the Apple City Leo Club, which consists of students in Grades 7 through 12 at Biglerville High School.
Twice a year our club joins with members of the Apple City Leo Club to clean up trash along two stretches of road leading into Arendtsville.
The Arendtsville Lions Club has sponsored a Peace Poster contest for sixth grader students at the local school since 2005. Pictured is the winning poster for the 2024-25 poster contest. The contest theme was "Peace Without Limits."
Each year, our club hangs wreaths along Main Street to help brighten the town during the holidays.
Members of the Arendtsville Lions Club help prepare meals for 5th grade students during Upper Adams Intermediate School's Environmental Education Camp.
Pictured is the Arendsville Lions Restaurant at the South Mountain Fair Grounds. The restaurant is the clubs primary means of fundraising. The Lions operate the restaurant durning fairs/festivals from April through October.
