Centennial Legacy Project
In September 2016, the Anderson Creek Lions completed one of our Centennial Legacy projects. Led by Lion Gene Schempp, we designed, built and installed a much needed 10'x10' sandbox for the Overhills Elementary School. We also supplied sand, a cover anad new sand toys. It will be enjoyed by many children in the years to come.
Additional Community Outreach Projects
The AC Lions also fixed the door to the OES lending library. The teachers, staff and students were very appreciative.
We also delivered over $400.00 of school supplies to area elementary and middle schools. The supplies will be distributed to students in need throughout the school year.
We have also allocated $1,000.00 for computers for the teen boys in the Lions Cottage at the Boys and Girls Home of North Carolina. This money was in addition to monies we have budgeted and distributed to the Lions Cottage for maintenance and supplies.
