After being approached by Rich Evans, Community Officer for Teasco Store in Kidsgrove along with Tracey Thorley, Family Project Worker in Kidsgrove Alsager Lions contributed to the purchase of a refrigerator and washing machine for a young family who had recently lost their Mum and were seeker afresh start.
Donation to Steve Pope, Centre Manager of the Cheshire Learning and Development Centre for young adults here in Alsager.
Donation to St Mary's Church here in Alsager to help with additional roof repairs.
Donation to Christ Church youngsters breakfast club.
Donation to Leighton Hospital, where the hospitals Charity Manager was leading a compaign to raise funds to support the staffs physical, emotional and well being during the COVID-19 CRISIS.
Donation to the Cedars Medical Centre to help with addition equipment required during the COVID-19 CRISIS.

Purchase of 30 whip tree hawthorn trees from the Wood Lands Trust for Alsager School new project a humanities garden. Organised by one of the schools geography teachers, Darren Hodgkinson.

Service Projects

Collection of Used Spectacles at Alsager Medical Centre, Scrivens Opticians Alsager, Alsager Post Office and an opticians in Newcastle.
Message in a Bottle in and around Alsager. Spare Bottles always available. Available at Alsager Library and the Community Church. Recently a supply of bottles to the Alsager Partnership, Kath Reader of the Alsager Dementia Awareness Project.
 
 
 
 

Public Relations

Alsager Lions now have their own Peace Garden, thanks to Lion Anton Selvadurai's efforts, by a main road into Alsager. Now including an "International Peace Pole."
 
On the sad death of Lion Treasurer, Geoff Rimmer's, daughter Lesley she generously left the Club an amount of money in her will. After some discussions by members it was decide to approach Alsager School to offer an annual prize and trophy to a pupil who had a successful year, despite personnel problems of their own.
Deputy Head Andrea O'Neil was delighted to receive the offer as the school was working to a similar idea called "Resilient."
After furher discussion it was agreed that a successful pupil would be choosen by the school, from each of the four houses annually, each receiving a £50.00 voucher and the pupil, in the opinion of the staff, achieving the most would be presented with the Lesley Rimmer Memorial Shield.
 
Social Gatherings with other Lions Clubs
Alsager Lions have  a 5th Thursday Dinner at local hostelrise, for 2019, at the The Wilbraham Arms, The Royal Oak, The Bearshead in Smallwood and The Lawton Arms, all are welcome and Stoke on Trent Lions help to make the evening most enjoyable. Sadly for 2020 we have only mamaged a meal at the Wilbraham Arms
