Almaguin Highlands Trails Club
Exploring the trails of the Almaguin Highlands shouldn't be a solo venture. This is a FREE running club for us to support and motivate you in your running journey! It doesn't matter if you are a walker or runner, an athlete or a beginner, we just want to surround you with active-minded people who have a passion for staying healthy!
We welcome all levels and paces, so bring a friend or just venture out one morning (or afternoon/evening) with us and chances are you'll go home knowing you have a new friend.
We will always have a meet-up on the first Saturday of every month on the trails of Copeman Tree Farms for a more fun and 'footloose' vibe and we will always share a healthy snack afterwards for diabetes awareness. This is a year round club where we switch to snowshoeing and cross-country skiing in the winter months.
Once we get more members, you can decide when we will have a more focused run and if it's going to be an early morning 'sweat sesh' or an after work 'get it done' (or maybe we have both!). Post what you want to do, add your friends, and chances are there are other members who want to participate!
EXTREME BUSH RACE is the first 5K obstacle mud run in Almaguin! The race that brings amateurs through trained athletes together in camaraderie.
ROUGH & TUMBLE is the first 1K & 2K obstacle mud run for kids! It's for ages 5yrs-17yrs, with age-appropriate obstacles for everyone. *ages 5-9yrs must race with an adult for supervision. This adult gets in for free*.
2018 raised $1000.00 for the local Christmas Cheer baskets with Colleen Anderson and just under $1000.00 in new athletic equipment for Sundridge Centennial Public School.
Volunteers: You can be part of this impactful event! If you are available to help on Sunday August 11th 9am-2pm, please e-mail Jocelyn at ExtremeBushRace@live.com

We have a new & improved course for 2019, including more obstacles, new trails and more mud!
