HOW WE SERVICE THE ALEDO COMMUNITY:
- Scholarships – Aledo Community Lions has given over $150,000 in scholarships to graduating Aledo ISD students through our Annual Charity Dinner
- Aledo Lions Youth Basketball Association – Founded in 1983 in part by Lion Rick Stoorza, over 10,000 elementary grade students have participated
- TXDOT Park & Ride Cleanup – We volunteer each year to clean up the Park & Ride location at I-20 and SH 1187
- Paper Shredding Event – This annual event is FREE to the community each fall and citizens can have sensitive documents shredded on site
- Eye Screening Pre-K kids – Photo Screener services are performed annually for FREE at the Aledo Early Leaning Academy.
- Eyeglasses Collection - We distribute and service eyeglass collection boxes and deliver to the Eyeglass Recycling Center in Watauga, TX
- Process Used Eyeglasses – We volunteer our help at the Eyeglass Recycling Center
- Lions Club International Contests – We solicit/advertise for applicants, review/summarize entries, participate in selection and awarding winner(s)
- Outstanding Youth (District 2-E2)
- Diabetes Essay
- Drug Awareness Speech
- Peace Poster
- Drug Awareness Poster
- Texas Lions Camp – We annually sponsor a participate in Texas Lions Camp, free of cost to the participant
- Advocacy for eye care of children
