The Akaka Falls Lions Club was chartered in 1963 servicing the area along the Hamakua coast from Ookala to Pepeekeo. Over the years, the service area expanded to the whole east side of the Big Island. Projects are often coordinated with the other clubs in the Hilo area providing an opportunity to conduct larger scale projects that serve more of the community. The club lives by the motto "A club of one in service and fellowship". We are truly a wonderful group of people that work together as a team to accomplish great things in our community. And we have fun doing it. If you are interested in finding out what it means to be an Akaka Falls Lion, browse this website, or better yet, join us in a meeting.
