FATHER Christmas will once again be visiting communities across Worcester with his sleigh and the help of the Worcester Lions Club, friends and, with support from Guide and Scout groups from across the city.

The sleigh will be touring parts of city’s streets throughout December, usually starting at about 6.00pm on weekdays finishing around 8pm, starting 5.00pm and finishing around 7.30pm at weekends.

Worcester Lions Club is a local voluntary service group, so when planning the routes, we have to take into consideration the availability of the volunteers who are giving up their free time to support Santa (some work, have families and other commitments). Sadly, we cannot be everywhere and are sorry if Santa doesn’t come to your area.

The funds raised are used to support numerous good causes, including the Lions Community Grants Scheme where community groups can put a request for assistance, which is run twice a year.

Please note: We publish our intended routes as a best endeavours guide. This is subject, of course, to having enough helpers, drivers, weather, condition of the roads and access but just in case we can't make it, please don't tell children - we would hate them to be disappointed. If we’re not coming to your area hopefully with the routes published, you’ll be able find him.

Every year we ask for new members to help us. If you could and would like to know more, please contact us.

Welcome to Worcester Lions Club Website!

Worcester Lions Club are a volunteer organisation providing direct support for individuals, groups and good causes in our community, helping and supporting our partner organisations and responding pro-actively wherever and whenever we can.

Where there's a need, there's a Lion…

We fundraise to enable us to carry out our 'service' activities by organising events, attending fetes our Christmas Sleigh etc.

We are ordinary men and women (18+) who enjoy ourselves and would like to put something back into our local community.

Worcester Lions Club was founded and chartered in 1969. It is one of the 46,000 clubs in over 200 countries and geographic areas worldwide that constitute Lions Clubs International making it the world’s largest service club organization with 1.35 million members.

Worcester Lions Club is twinned with Orleans Doyen Club, France, and Table View Lions Club, South Africa.

Who are we and what do we do?

Lions are active locally. Our motto is "We Serve." Though we are part of a global service network, we do whatever we can to help the communities of which we are a part.

Lions Clubs International was founded in 1917. The wider organization is best known for fighting blindness

Lions are also social. We enjoy each other’s company and meet for various meals and other outings.

Mission Statement
