The Westport Lions Club, chartered in 1961, are a dedicated group of community minded men and women who believe that when it comes to meeting challenges, our response is simple: We serve by reaching out to help those in need.

It's something that unites Lions around the world. And it's unconditional.  Lions aren't limited by continents or restricted to certain causes. We help wherever, whenever and however we can.

Our major fundraising effort is the Westport Lions Club Lions Craft Show event held at the high school in October. This event has been operating for more than 10 years thanks to the support and help from the Westport community.

Other fundraising events and community projects include: collecting used eyeglasses to be tagged, catalogued and shipped overseas to bring the gift of sight to those who cannot afford to buy eyeglasses; the Pennies for Sight canisters on display in many local businesses that fund eye research locally; aiding community residents in crisis and working with local community partners and national diabetes associations to promote diabetes education and awareness throughout the year.
