The Warren Lions Club is a fellowship of community-oriented and service-minded men and women dedicated to helping the citizens of their city, nation and world realize their full potential. The Lions of Warren work together to provide assistance to people who are challenged by sight or hearing impairment, as well as other health and economic related issues.
The Warren Lions Club was chartered in 1923 and over the past 99 years we have supported a wide variety of vital health, youth and service causes and organizations. Increasingly over the years, the sight program became a major Lions Club focus with an emphasis on pre-school vision screening, glaucoma screening, and service to children and adults with vision difficulties.
Past and current endeavors have contributed greatly to a wide range of local, regional and even international programs, including the PA Eye Research, Leader Dogs School, A Safe Place and Beacon Lodge Camp, among many others. Most recently the Warren Lions Club assisted the local chapter of Toys for Tots in sorting Christmas Gifts and the Warren-Forest Counties Economic Opportunity Council in developing their natural playground. Fundraising, through club and annual White Cane Days, annual Turkey Dinner, and ‘weenie wagon’ appearances at many of Warren’s events, has enabled the Club to continue their support of these many programs. All of these activities, coupled with Lion’s Club member commitment and the consistent support of the Warren community, allow the Warren Lions Club to continue to exemplify their motto, “We Serve.”
