The Swindon Lions are a group of fun folk who enjoy socialising and organising fund raising events to raise funds for various local organisations
We are constantly searching for new members who have fresh ideas for fundraising or simply want to give some time to helping to raise funds.
We meet on the first and third Monday of each month at the De Vere Village Hotel. Meetings last no more than one to one and a half hours and sometimes even shorter! We all understand that we cannot all be available for each fund raising event and you are only asked to give whatever time you feel you can.
We are also a very sociable group of individuals and various activities are always planned throughout the year. These include such things as theatre tips, walks, skittles evenings, dinners, quiz nights, etc.
Many thanks to everyone who took part in our Easter Egg competition, thanks to your generosity we are able to send cheques to Koalas and Swindon Young Carers

On Wednesday 18th April, members of Swindon Lions and the Mayor of Swindon met up at the Civic Offices in Euclid Street to present cheques for £1,000 each to the following organisations:-
The Hydrotherapy Pool
TWIGS
Multiple Sclerosis Centre
Swindon Interactive Arts
Threshold Housing Link
Swindon Young Carers
Hope for Tomorrow
These are all groups that we thought would benefit from support from us and they were all very grateful for the donation. We were treated to a wonderful piece of theatre from the Interactive Arts Group and the evening was a great success.
