Candy Day on the first Saturday of April and  October of each year.  On Candy Day, Sumter Lions Club collect money for local sight conservation project and hearing and Lions Vision Center for South Carolina sight conservation projects.  When you see Lions members distributing candy, please consider the many sight conservation projects you support when you donate such as Eye Screening, the purchase of glasses, the Lion Vision Center for South Carolina.

Broom Sale: Begun in the 1950's, Sumter Lions was the first club in South Carolina to have a broom sale to benefit the blind. Originally brooms where made by the blind in Columbia, South Carolina factory. Household brooms are available at selected business locations in the city while quantity orders of industrial brooms can be delivered. All broom proceeds support Lions charities.
