Meetings

1. Vision Screenings in the Schools.: Takes place from September to February. We take our equipment and up to 8 Lions into every elementary school (public and private) to test for vision problems. Follow up includes free doctors exam and eyeglasses for those in financial need. More then 2,000 students are tested each year.

2. Produce one of NE Florida's biggest festivals. The St. Augustine Lions Spring Seafood Festival - Since 1981. We have Arts and Crafts Exhibitors, Quality Food and Live Music. Kid Zone, Pirate Landing and a family style event. This event typically raises $80,000 - $215,000 for charity work. 

3. Provide $18,000 in college scholarships.

4. Ring the Bell for the Salvation Army each December.

5. Support local programs such as food banks, abuse shelters, childrens programs and meals on wheels.

6. Collect used eyeglasses and hearing aids to be recycled and reused - Up to 7,000 pairs per year.

7. Recycling of used cell phones.

8. Funding annual picnic for Deaf school children and families.

9. Helping individuals and families in need.

10. Veterans Day Celebration Event. Funding and hosting the hospitality tent.
