Backpack Buddies: Every month we collect food items to send home with students at Mary H. Wright. There are several students who only have a hot meal while at school. The families that have signed up for this program get a chance to have warm, hearty, and healthy meals on the weekend

Leo Club: Service club at Carver Middle School- .“Leadership, Experience, Opportunity.” That’s what makes a Leo. Members of Leo clubs embody the best qualities of our incredible organization. They are devoted young people who realize the power of action. Together, Leos and Lions form a powerful partnership — one of mutual respect where Lions learn from the innovative insights of Leos, and where Leos gain access to the proven strategies of those who’ve successfully served the world for decades.

Eye Screenings: We set up at local schools and health events and do eye screenings. We also assist those who need assistance purchasing eyewear with an approved low-income application.

Assisting Local Families: We take action when we learn of local families with hardships. Most recently a family lost everything in a house fire right before Christmas. As a club, we gave this family money, restaurant gift cards, toys for Christmas, food, and clothes.

Upstate Stand Down: The Upstate Stand Down was started in 2011 as a means to offer a one day program for homeless veterans and those veterans in need and their families. The aim was to offer services for this population in one place. The services include social services (DSS, Food Stamps, Veteran Benefits); housing (transitional and permanent); mental health services; health services (dentistry, optical, hearing, vaccinations, flu shots, diabetes testing, blood pressure tests, etc.) ; employment services and; clothes and outdoor equipment for those who were living outdoors. This was done through the assistance of the American Red Cross, United Way, various colleges (Wofford, Converse and Limestone Colleges), City and State agencies. The Benefits Bank (now called SC Thrive), Salvation Army and vendors throughout the Spartanburg/Greenville community. All services including those provided by the Veterans Administration in Spartanburg and Columbia are and have been free of charge to veterans and their family members.

Panera Bread's Day End Doughnation: When Panera Bread® locations close for the night, the unsold bread and baked goods that remain on their shelves start a second shift—feeding the hungry. We go every week to collect these items. We have given these donations to the Hospice House, Downtown Rescue Mission, local families, and several others.

Miracle Hill Coat Drive- Every winter we collect food and blankets for Miracle Hill to help keep people warm.

Yes We Can- We had a Districtwide challenge to collect canned foods to donate to a local organization. We collected 275 cans and donated them to the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church Food Pantry.

Peace Poster Program: For over three decades, Lions clubs around the globe have been sponsoring a very special art contest in schools and youth groups. Creating peace posters gives children everywhere the chance to express their visions of peace and inspire the world through art and creativity.
