"Your Local Lions Club, Serving the Community"

Who are the Potomac Valley Lions?

Part of the largest international service organization in the world, we proudly serve the communities along Rt. 220 South in Maryland from McCoole to Bowling Green!

Our members are different in many ways, but we all share a common goal - to serve others in need and have fun while we do it. In short, "We Serve".

Here are some of the things our club has done recently:

  • Planted 3450 trees on public and private land throughout Allegany, Garrett and Mineral Counties
  • Maintain and manage the Rawlings Recreation Complex
  • Donate a $500 Allegany College scholarship in memory of Boyd Powell
  • Donated $100 to the Western Maryland Health System Cancer Patient Fund
  • Conducted a Pre-School Vision Screening at Tri-towns HomeFest
  • Served Dinner to Camp Hope in support of teens helping others
  • Collected, counted and sorted over 100 pair of used eyeglasses
  • Purchased hearing aids through the Lions AHAP for a local gentleman
  • Hold Famous Lions Chicken BBQ's

If you (or your friends or family members) would like to become involved in an upcoming project, or join our Lions Club, you can contact us in one of these three ways:

  1. Call us at (301) 268-4929
  2. Email or call one of our Club Officers and request more information
  3. Attend one of our monthly meetings to learn more about our group

Lions Clubs International is the world's largest service club organization with more than 1.4 million members in approximately 46,000 clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas around the world.
