The Lions Annual Scholarship Program encourages and affords several local high school graduates to attend college to further their education.

The Lions Youth Leadership Conference promotes the qualities of leadership to boys and girls in Mississippi.

The Lions Peace Poster Contest promotes, encourages and awards the youth of the community for participating in a peace poster contest. The purpose is to promote world peace.

The Lions Eye Exams/Glasses Program provides free eye exams and eye glasses for indigent and needy people in the community.

The Lions Used Eye Glasses Program helps indigent people in third world countries with glasses collected and distributed by Lions all over the world.

The Lions Sight Foundation of Mississippi raises funds for its statewide projects during White Cane Days. Those projects are the Mississippi Lions Eye Bank, Sea and Sun Camp, Diabetes Awareness Program, Hearing Impared Program, and the Sight Screening Program.

The Mississippi Lions All-State Band, which has won the Lions Clubs International Championship 26 times--more than any other band in the world--is supported by the Lions of Mississippi and local Lions Clubs, including Picayune Lions Club.

The Lions Other Projects supported by the Picayune Lions Club are: Mid-South Lions Eye Hospital, Leader Dog for the Blind, Addie McBride Rehabilitation Hosptial in Jackson, MS and Lions Club International Foundation (LCIF).

The Club identifies and measures the needs of the community and then decides which programs and projects the Club will undertake.
